Constant Agitation Immersion Brew Coffee

Immersion cold brew with constant agitation

Bird Rock Coffee - Guatemalan light roast

Place magnetic mixer in bottom of clean French Press

40g good coffee, grind relatively fine. I used the same grind I use for a 1-cup V60.

Dump into French Press

Add 667g cold water

Place French Press on top of stirrer base and turn on low setting

Slowly ramp up until you achieve a consistent gentle whirlpool

Mix for 1 hour

Place French Press strainer on top, press down gently

Pour coffee

VARIABLES:

  • coffee:water ratio - 60g:1L

  • coffee varietal - Bird Rock Guatemalan pineapple processed

  • grind setting - 10 on Knock Aergrind, fine enough for 1-cup V60

  • water temp - tap cool

  • mix speed - approx. medium

  • mix time - 1 hour
